Did you know that CANO/ACIO has accepted the Nightingale Challenge? 


What is the Nightingale Challenge? 

The Nightingale Challenge, launched to celebrate the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, invites all health employers around the world to invest in their young nurses by providing leadership and development opportunities throughout 2020.

How is CANO/ACIO involved in the Nightingale Challenge? 

We believe that every nurse is a leader and we are committed to supporting the next generation of young nurses to become leaders, influencers, and advocates. 

We hold the position that oncology nursing leadership is essential to promote high quality, equitable, safe and accessible cancer care and to meet the health care challenges of the future. 

We need your help in contributing to this global movement!

How do I get involved? 

All nurses can get involved in the Nightingale Challenge! Here are a few ideas: 

  • If you are an experienced nurse, consider sharing your expertise and mentoring younger nurses 
  • If you are a younger nurse, seek out and take advantage of the numerous opportunities being offered by CANO/ACIO including:
