Title: Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs) – a Nurses’ Guide to Diagnosis, Treatments and Nursing Management

Brief Biography: 


Zoe Ignacio is a medical oncology clinic nurse at CancerCare Manitoba who specializes in sarcoma, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and neuroendocrine cancers.

Zoe has extensive experience in medical and radiation oncology across various disease areas, having most recently held several nursing and education roles at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She has provided nurses with clinical education as a training coordinator, mentor and preceptor and is passionate about sharing her knowledge on neuroendocrine cancers with others.


Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize signs and symptoms of the most common types of NETs.
  2. Review diagnostic process and treatment options for NETs.
  3. Explore best practices for symptom management and resources for patient support and education.
