National Cancer Nursing Chemotherapy Standards

The standards and competencies for cancer chemotherapy nursing practice address the increasing complexity found within health care environment in Canada, providing Registered Nurses, health care leaders and the public with a resource that articulates best practice.  The standards and competencies address the following four areas: RN accountability, quality practice environments, education requirements for competency development and continuing competency requirements.

IMPLEMENTATION TOOL KIT
To support health care organizations and RNs implementing the National Cancer Chemotherapy Nursing Standards, a toolkit was developed.  It includes editable promotional material, a self-assessment tool and recommendations for organization’s cancer chemotherapy policies.
