TREATMENT BASICS ONLINE TRAINER COURSE - ONS

This course will prepare chemotherapy/biotherapy trainers to also teach Treatment Basics: Antineoplastic Therapy in the Nononcology Setting— a four hour ONS offering designed for nurses in other disciplines and those new to oncology. Registration deadline is July 28 for the August 10 course.

PSYCHOSOCIAL ONCOLOGY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES DIRECTORY
The Cancer Journey Action Group is pleased to announce the release of the Psychosocial Oncology Education Opportunities Directory / Formation en soins psychosociaux pour améliorer les soins en cancérologie on Cancer View Canada www.cancerview.ca, the information portal of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer.

Cancer Journey’s Education Committee led by Jill Taylor-Brown of CancerCare Manitoba has developed a number of resources for Cancer Journey’s Person-Centered Toolkit that includes:

  • The Psychosocial Oncology Education Opportunities Directory The Framework for Achieving Excellence in the Provision of Cancer Patient Education in Canada
  • A directory of faculty members interested in supervising students who wish to pursue studies in psychosocial oncology, sorted by name, discipline, and region
  • A list of featured psychosocial oncology education opportunities
  • The National Psychosocial Oncology Education Framework
