CANO/ACIO Nursing Scholarship Awards
The CANO/ACIO Scholarship Award’s purpose is to encourage oncology nurses to pursue university education to enhance nursing knowledge and development in the field of cancer care. The awards are for CANO/ACIO members currently enrolled in undergraduate nursing programs or graduate nursing education with a focus in oncology and committed to practicing in Canada. The winners will be announced at the annual CANO/ACIO conference.
Annual CANO/ACIO Conference Grant
There are FOUR annual grants of $500 each to support CANO/ACIO
members who have no other means of funding to attend the annual
CANO/ACIO Conference. These grants will be awarded to current CANO/ACIO members in
good-standing for one full calendar year prior to application.
Preference will be given to those members who have not received a
conference grant previously. Each grant of $500 can be allotted towards the following at the
recipients’ discretion (receipts must be submitted by September 29, 2010):
- Travel
- Registration
- Accommodation
- Meals
